Fiber laser technology is currently mainly used in laser welding of batteries, poles, flexible connections, liquid injection holes, explosion-proof valves, modules, and tabs in the production process of power batteries; laser cutting, cleaning, and drilling of tabs and poles Hole, carving and other links.

In response to the requirements of battery companies, IPG has developed YLS-AMB series of adjustable beam mode lasers and LDD-700 welding whole process monitoring system and other new products.

Specifically, the YLS-AMB series of adjustable beam mode lasers can provide a total output power of up to 25 kW, and automatically adjust the output beam mode parameters. A central beam with a core diameter of 50μm can provide a total output rate of up to 9kW, and a central beam with a core diameter of 100μm can provide a total output power of up to 12kW.

Jiang Baowen pointed out that the YLS-AMB series lasers can almost achieve spatter-free welding, greatly improving welding efficiency and quality, and improving battery product performance.

At the same time, the LDD-700 welding whole process monitoring system developed by IPG can realize welding seam tracking and working distance measurement before welding; real-time penetration monitoring during welding and welding seam quality after welding.
